Job Description Job Description SUMMARY Performs corrective and
preventative maintenance, troubleshoots and repairs facilities,
laboratory, production, reclaim, distillation, and cylinder
refurbishing equipment according to manufactures, Occupational
Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and Environmental
Protection Administration (EPA) guidelines. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting,
repairing, and extending the useful life of the facility,
equipment, and systems. Ability to work with current and future
equipment including but not limited to drives, bearings, seals,
gear boxes, boilers, steam system, safety valves, pumps, gate &
ball valves, pressure regulating devices, electrical switch gear,
motor control centers, starters, circuit breakers, chilled water,
HVAC, compressed air (high & plant), and vacuum systems, vapor
compressors, chemical fume hoods, scales, stretch wrapper, reach
stacker, rail cars, track mobile, and appliance repairs, Performs
general repairs such as carpentry, dry wall finishing, carpet,
floor, and ceiling tile work. Ability to repair or rebuild pumps,
compressors, and valves. Ability to read and understand engineering
drawings, piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs),
schematics, and operation & maintenance manuals. Must be able to
perform confined space entry procedures mandated by the company.
Sets up, operates, and maintain corded or cordless drills,
reciprocating saws, and grinders, drill press, band saw, pipe
treading machine, impact wrench, and sewer snake machine.
Proficient in measuring, cutting, and threading pipe with a pipe
threading machine and hand threader. Ability to perform hot work -
welding (MIG & stick), brazing, soldering, and cutting. Operate
Pro-press equipment. Self-starter yet able to take orders as
directed Must demonstrate the ability to safety utilize a forklift,
boom lift, and scissor lift. Customer focus achieving Company,
department, and personal goals through a strong customer focus.
Must be able to work weekends and overtime if necessary. Employees
holding this position will be required to perform any other duties
as requested by Management. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job

EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education (GED).
Completion of a recognized vocational education program in
Maintenance, Electrical, or Welding field or 1 year work experience
in field. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents
such as safety rules, engineering drawings, piping &
instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), schematics, and operation &
maintenance manuals. Ability to understand and follow verbal,
written, or demonstrated instructions. Ability to receive and
comprehend and effectively communicate detailed information through
verbal and written communication. Ability to record data accurately
and legibly. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply
and divide in all units of measure, using whole number, common
fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent
and to draw and interpret bar graphs. COMPUTER SKILLS Must be
familiar with or learn the company’s CMMS (Manager Plus), and must
be proficient in Excel and Word. REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve
practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in
situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to
interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral,
diagram or schedule form. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES REGISTRATIONS
Current driver’s license. EPA Universal Certification (preferred
but not mandatory) Welding certificates, such as GMAW, SMAW
(preferred but not mandatory) PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands

to high voltage, high pressure steam, compressed air (high &

exposed to wet and or humid conditions and other outside weather
conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually
moderate. TOOL REQUIREMENT Basic hand tools – such as but not limit
to wrenches (SAE, Metric, & adjustable), sockets & ratchet, screw
drivers (flat & Phillips), hammers (ball peen, claw, & mallet), and
multi-purpose pliers. Plus a box to secure your tools.
