Job Description Job Description Position: HVAC MAINTENANCE SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE Locations: Gaithersburg, MD Status: Non-Exempt Full-time Reports to: Sales Manager We are looking for a seasoned HAVC Maintenance Sales Representative to join our client's team in Gaithersburg, MD! You must be a HUNTER/SELLER! You must be able to show previous growth in sales. Required: Previous Sales of HVAC/Mechanical Service and Maintenance contracts is mandatory. The ideal candidate has an established presence in the Gaithersburg, Maryland, and surrounding Pennsylvania regions, market and is highly skilled in all aspects of HVAC/commercial mechanical estimating and selling plan, renewals, spec projects, and service contracts ranging from $500 - $2,000,000. Our client is a growing Mechanical Engineering Firm that specializes in the design and installation of large commercial HVAC systems. The Maintenance Sales Representative (MSR) is a key contributor to the growth and success of the organization and will be responsible for generating new business through the sale of maintenance service contracts. The Maintenance Sales Representative will work with the VP of Sales, Sales Manager and Project Managers. Pay Scale: $60K to $74K base, plus commission. Starting salary based on background and experience Shift: 1st shift w/potential evening and /or weekend hours Benefits: Medical, Dental, and Vision plans Life & Disability Insurance Retirement Savings: 401(k) plan Paid Time Off: Enjoy paid holidays and a PTO plan that grows with your years of service The Role at a Glance: Candidate must perform all aspects of developing preliminary and /or definitive detailed estimates and proposals for maintenance service contracts, including labor, materials, and equipment associated with HVAC/mechanical service and construction projects encompassing HVAC/HVACR, plumbing, hydronic/weld piping, and sheet metal. Attend pre-bid site meetings, verify site conditions, and interface with Owners, Developers, and General Contractors. Manage the maintenance service contract preparation and formal written proposal process in its entirety. Electronically maintain records of all working documents and data to back up estimates and proposals. Assist, organize, and prioritize work in conjunction with sales engineers. Job Duties for the HVAC Maintenance Sales Representative in Gaithersburg, MD: Actively prospect and develop new customer relationships to secure maintenance service contracts. Execute the company’s established sales process, including: Conducting outbound cold calls to schedule initial appointments with potential clients. Perform in-person qualification meetings to determine mutual interest and assess fit. Complete detailed building surveys to inventory mechanical equipment and identify deficiencies or opportunities related to the client’s current service provider. Lead verification meetings to present findings, preliminary financial benefits, and service recommendations Deliver and negotiating formal proposals and agreements. Meet or exceed defined activity and performance targets on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis. Job Requirements for the HVAC Maintenance Sales Representative in Gaithersburg, MD: Proven track record of success in B2B sales, preferably within the mechanical services, HVAC, or building maintenance industry. Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to prospect, qualify, and close new business opportunities. Proficiency in CRM software and sales process documentation. Strong organizational and time management skills. Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively What You Bring to the Table: Minimum 3-5 years of proven successful experience preparing maintenance service contracts and proposals for commercial mechanical projects utilizing computerized estimation and digital take-off software. Ability to provide a complete commercial mechanical construction estimate and proposal for either plan/spec or design/build projects including HVAC, plumbing, hydronic piping, and sheet metal work. Ability to understand/coordinate Mechanical Construction with other building trades (Architectural/Structural etc.) Computer literate with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with strong communication and writing abilities. Wage Range: Base Salary of $60,000 - $74,000 with a lucrative commission structure (immediate eligibility), and mileage reimbursement. Commensurate with experience.
