Our employees are not only part of history, but they're also making history.As an integral part of our Software Configuration team in Mission Systems you will focus on helping to develop, enforce, and maintain Software Configuration Management (SCM) processes on large and small scale programs in accordance with the Organization's Standard Software Process (OSSP) and contractual requirements.Roles and Responsibilities:Develops and maintains software configuration management tools to support configuration identification, control, reporting, and delivery of both internally developed and externally purchased commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software products.Performs configuration management and release engineering tasks to ensure new software product operating parameters are documented, comply with standard hardware configurations, and are logistically sustainable.Designs, develops, automates, and maintains productivity tools using programming, database or scripting languages to improve software modeling and development.Designs and implements build procedures that are used to support software product development and use.Develop software configuration standards for company-wide useTrain software developers in the use of configuration management tools and the implementation of software quality standardsFacilitate and scribe for control board meetingsEstablish and implement procedures to coordinate changes to program data and productsBasic Qualifications for Software Configuration Analyst:Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience, a Master's degree with 0 years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Physics, Applied Mathematics, or related technical fields.U.S. Citizenship and active secret DoD clearance is requiredUnderstanding of SCM principles, concepts, industry practices and standards1 year of relevant software configuration management experienceBasic Qualifications for Principal Software Configuration Analyst:Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience, a Master's degree with 3 years of experience or a PhD with 0 years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Physics, Applied Mathematics, or related technical fields.U.S. Citizenship and active secret DoD clearance is requiredUnderstanding of SCM principles, concepts, industry practices and standards3 years of relevant software configuration management experienceExperience with coordinating/creating configured builds for test and deliveryPreferred Qualifications:Knowledge of scripting languagesExperience with implementing SCM on a large-scale programExperience with multiple tools and environments (Atlassian, Git, Jira, ClearCase, ClearQuest, Linux and Windows)As a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman Mission Systems, you are eligible for our robust benefits package including:Medical, Dental & Vision coverage401kEducational AssistanceLife InsuranceEmployee Assistance Programs & Work/Life SolutionsPaid Time OffHealth & Wellness ResourcesEmployee DiscountsLink to Benefits: https://totalrewards.Northropgrumman.Com/This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off." Salary Range: $71,500 USD $107,300 USDSalary Range 2: $88,000 USD $132,000 USDEmployees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
