**SALARY RANGE**
Austin 59,000 - 85,000 USD per year
**YOUR JOB**
The International Taxonomy Analyst - Singapore is responsible for
developing taxonomies and ontologies in pursuit of significantly
improving the job search experience for millions of Indeed job
seekers and employers.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Utilize industry best practices to develop, test, and maintain
structured data that supports and improves product integrations
powered by Taxonomy and Ontology metadata
- Collaborate with Taxonomy peers and project managers to build,
support, and maintain taxonomies for cutting edge machine learning
classification systems
- Inform taxonomy development through retrieving and analyzing a
broad range of complex end-user and content management system data
in support of product and stakeholder initiatives
- Act as a subject matter expert in the semantics of jobs, job
seekers, and employers to inform and make use of structured data
that powers a wide variety of Indeed product experiences
- Classify, analyze, and extract relevant content in alignment with
Indeed's broader taxonomy or ontology infrastructures using both
manual and machine learning methodologies -
- Create and maintain mappings between Taxonomy metadata and
external data to fulfill business needs and support data reuse
- Support the development of internal tools and structured data
integrations in collaboration with product managers, developers, UX
researchers and designers, or UI developers
**WHO YOU ARE**
Required
- Bachelor's or Master's in Library & Information Science,
Linguistics, or related discipline; educational requirements may be
substituted with relevant years of work experiences
- Experience working with structured data, information management,
or related field in an academic or business environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Substantial experience working and/or living in Singapore
- Experience communicating with multiple internal and external
audiences and stakeholders
- Strong researching, problem solving, and conceptual thinking
abilities
- Familiarity with information systems and structured querying, and
the ability to learn new systems, tools, and technologies deftly as
needed
- Experience balancing quick, data-driven, decision-making with
attention to quality and accuracy
- Experience working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with machine learning or natural language processing
concepts
- Excellent time management skills and demonstrated success
managing multiple priorities
- Proficiency with Google G Suite (Gmail, Sheets, Docs, Hangouts,
etc.)

Preferred
- Excellent written communication in Simplified Chinese and verbal
communication in Mandarin
- 1+ years experience developing, implementing, or maintaining
controlled vocabularies (thesauri, taxonomies, ontologies), or in
an academic or business environment
- Understanding of linked data principles and applications
- Experience with structured data standards such as SKOS, RDF, or
OWL
- Knowledge of SQL, SPARQL, or similar query language
- Working knowledge of natural language processing or machine
learning methods
- Proficiency with project management software (Jira, Trello,
etc.)

**SALARY RANGE DISCLAIMER**
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed
salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending
on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and
performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed's
total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include
quarterly bonuses, Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), an open Paid Time
