Job Description:

Overview of Position: Support, communicate and build relationships with the people we support, their families, other professionals and organizations in our community by providing productive and meaningful community-based services. Responsible for family recruitment, intake, ongoing family support, community outreach awareness, and case management/record keeping. Serve as point of contact for IDTs. Duties and Responsibilities:Coordinate community-based social, recreational and programmatic activities of individuals served, consistent with support plans.Identify staff openings within programs and characteristics of an appropriate match of staff to person receiving supports.Cultivate and maintain a strong and positive team culture.Supervise and evaluate employees, interns, and volunteers under direct supervision.Maintain staff schedules and calendar of activitiesDevelop goals and objectives for individuals served and support staff.Conduct regular and ongoing evaluation of training needs. Arrange and oversee for training in all critical areas. Ensure implementation of policies and practicesSchedule and organize meetings/events and maintain an agendaEnsure all technology is used correctly for all operationsAssure that reliable data on personal outcomes, individual program plans, attendance, progress, services, quality improvement measures, and billing information are recorded, submitted, and/or filed, as required. Maintain working relationships with families, guardians, friends, service coordinators and other program staff for individuals served.Provide staff and home providers with information about community resources for the people served.Train staff as to Ardmore expectations regarding people served.Establish and maintain records of all individuals who receive support.Professionally represent Ardmore at meetings and functions of contractor agencies and industry events.Maintain ongoing positive communication with other service providers on behalf of people being served.Manage programs in a fiscally responsible manner.Increase community awareness of Ardmore and the services we provide.Promptly and actively participate in required training and professional development opportunities.Promote self-advocacy on all levels. Demonstrate a strong understanding and dedication to Ardmores mission. Actively promote and represent organizations philosophy through all interactions with both internal and external customers. Model current and appropriate language when referring to Ardmore services and those who are utilizing its services. Support growth and program developmentPerforms all other duties as assigned necessary to fulfill the mission of Ardmore. Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesBachelors degree or experience in Sales, Marketing, Business or Communication strongly preferred.Interest in or passion of supporting people with intellectual disabilities in achieving their dreams/goals required.Must have a valid drivers license and daily access to reliable personal transportation, as necessary, to fulfill the duties and responsibilities of the position. Position is community based with minimal office time. Requires daily travel throughout assignment region. Must have excellent time management and customer service skills. Strong ability to think creatively and develop strong internal and external relationships and resources is required. Must be confident and comfortable working in the field independently. Knowledge of ASL strongly preferred. Required Conditions of EmploymentMust be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Must be able to bend, crouch, stoop and/or kneel. Must be able to push, assist and transfer the weight of an average adult in and out of a wheelchair.Must be able to stand for periods up to 3 hours in duration.Must possess a good driving record. Must meet eligibility for employment in the United States. (Provide appropriate I-9 documentation on first day of employment). Must have a clean criminal history.Must be able to pass a drug screening.Must be or willing to become: Medication Certified in MD, CPR and First Aid certified.
