Job Description:
Position Summary The Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible
for overseeing all warehouse functions to ensure efficient storage,
handling, and distribution of goods. This role manages staff,
inventory, equipment, and operational processes to meet safety,
quality, and productivity targets while maintaining compliance with
company policies and industry regulations. Key
Responsibilities/Daily Warehouse Management Oversee inbound and
outbound logistics, including receiving, storing, picking, packing,
and shipping. Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counts,
audits, and reconciliation processes. Monitor warehouse space
utilization and implement organization systems for efficiency.
Coordinate with transportation teams to meet delivery schedules and
resolve shipping issues. Team Leadership & Development Manage,
schedule, and train warehouse associates, leads, and supervisors.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching to improve
productivity. Promote a safe, inclusive, and collaborative work
environment. Operational Efficiency Implement and maintain
warehouse best practices, SOPs, and continuous improvement
initiatives. Track KPIs such as order accuracy, fulfillment time,
labor productivity, and safety incidents. Utilize warehouse
management systems (WMS) for process optimization. Safety &
Compliance Enforce OSHA and company safety standards to prevent
accidents and injuries. Maintain records for equipment inspections,
safety training, and incident reports. Ensure compliance with
applicable regulations, including hazardous materials handling if
required. Equipment & Facility Oversight Oversee maintenance and
proper use of forklifts, conveyors, pallet jacks, and other
warehouse equipment. Coordinate with maintenance teams for repairs
and upkeep of the facility. Manage vendor relationships for
supplies, repairs, and contracted services.
Requirements/Qualifications/Education & Experience: High school
diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain,
Logistics, or related field preferred). 5 years of warehouse or
distribution operations experience, with at least 2 years in a
leadership role. Experience with WMS, ERP, and inventory control
systems.
