THE POSITION

information technology (IT)? The Office of Administration,
Conservation and Environment Information Technology Delivery Center
is seeking an ambitious IT Governance and Compliance Specialist to

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As an IT Governance and Compliance Specialist, you will be
responsible for tracking compliance with policies and filing for
exceptions in accordance with Office of Administration protocol. As
part of adhering to policy, you will have primary responsibility
for initiating IT projects in the commonwealth's project intake
system. A significant aspect of this work is your role in
increasing compliance and reducing risk through consulting on
project design and development and working with teams to implement
improved processes. In this role, you will serve as the CEDC expert
on the IT Policy Exception Review Process and the gatekeeper for
requests for exceptions. This involves working closely with subject
matter experts if an exception to commonwealth IT policy may be
necessary, developing the justification for the request, and
preparing all necessary documentation. You will have the
opportunity to showcase your expertise as you educate members of
the CEDC and its business partners on the existence of IT policies
and the need to adhere to IT policies. Additional responsibilities
include:Tracking and maintaining inventory of exceptionsActing as
the primary authority for CEDC on the commonwealth IT project
intake processServe as a consultant to project teams and delivery
center managementCollaborating with teams to improve compliance
with policiesReviewing requests for the purchase of IT services

Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employmentWork
hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute
lunch.Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home
(telework) full-time. You will be required to report in-office once
a month for team collaboration. In order to telework, you must have
a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from
an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to
telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters
office in Harrisburg.Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:One year
as an Information Technology Generalist 2, Applications Developer
2, Database Analyst, Information Security Specialist 1, or Network
Specialist 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal
Government job title, as determined by the Office of
Administration); orFive years of information technology experience
that includes two years of technical information technology
experience in applications development or applications maintenance,
network operation or network maintenance, web site development or
web site design, database maintenance or database development, data
analysis and data model development, administration of information
technology security programs, or other information technology
support/administration services; orThree years of information
technology experience that includes two years of technical
information technology experience in applications development or
applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance,
web site development or web site design, database maintenance or
database development, data analysis and data model development,
administration of information technology security programs, or
other information technology support/administration services, and
an associate's degree in any information technology field; orOne
year of technical information technology experience in applications
development or applications maintenance, network operation or
network maintenance, web site development or web site design,
database maintenance or database development, data analysis and
data model development, administration of information technology
security programs, or other information technology
support/administration services, and a bachelor's degree in any
information technology field; orAn equivalent combination of
experience and training.
