seeking an Associate Real Time Software Engineer (Virtual) to join
the Boeing Enterprise Software Products and Capabilities (ESPC)
group/team located in Hazelwood, MO.-- This position will focus on
supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business
organization.These systems must meet the highest levels of safety
standards, levels of rigor and design assurances required by the
Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Department of Defense (DOD)
and National Security Agency (NSA) certification authorities as
they are deployed on latest Commercial aircraft, Defense platforms
and weapons systems, including un-piloted and autonomous vehicles
of the future.The ideal candidate for this role is experienced at
low level infrastructure for safety and security critical
application, using rigorous design practices, efficient and
automated processes and tools, to delivery on-time, high quality,
safety assured and cyber assured software.Position
Responsibilities:
- Assists with the development, documentation and maintenance of
architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for
software systems
- Develops and maintains code and integrates software components
into a fully functional software system
- Assists with test procedures and documenting test results to
ensure software system requirements are met
- Supports software project management and software supplier
management functions
- Selects, tailors and deploys processes and tools; establishes
metrics
- Performs software research and trade studies
- Troubleshoots software issues
- Works under general supervisionThis position has been
identified as a virtual opportunity and does not require the
selected candidate to relocate. This position requires the ability
to obtain a Secret US Security Clearance for which the US
Government requires US Citizenship.-- Ability to obtain Secret US
Security clearance Post-Start.Required Qualifications (Required
Skills/ Experience):
- Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an
accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science,
mathematics, physics or chemistry
- 2+ years of experience programming in C, C++ or Ada (C++
preferred)
- 2+ years of experience developing software for embedded
systems, using one or more real-time operating systems (RTOS).
Experience with Wind River VxWorks or any version of Linux is
preferred, but general understanding of an RTOS is acceptable
(other applicable RTOS experience includes but is not limited to
DDC-I Deos or Green Hills Software Integrity).
- 2+ years of experience developing software using Git for
repository revision control and configuration management
(CM)Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 2+ years of experience developing board bring up software
applications used for hardware checkout and design verification or
developing resident test software (RTS) applications used for
hardware environmental stress screening (ESS), qualification
testing and acceptance test procedures (ATP)
- 2+ years of experience developing middleware per applications
programming interfaces (APIs) to open standards such as FACE
(future airborne capability environment) and OMS (open mission
systems)
- 2+ years of experience developing software, including device
drivers, per aircraft interface standards such as MIL-STD-1553B,
ARINC 429, UART, CAN, ARINC 664, RS-485
- 2+ years of experience developing cyber assured software per
NSA National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)
cybersecurity framework
- 2+ years of experience developing Python scripts for automated
Requirements Based Testing (RBT), regression and release
testing
- 2+ years of experience developing safety critical software per
FAA DO-178C or MIL-STD-882E standards
- 2+ years of experience developing software build environments
utilizing cmake.
- 2+ years of experience developing software as a certified
Scaled Agile Framework for Enterprise (SAFe) professionalTypical
Education/Experience:--
- Education/experience typically acquired through advanced
technical education from an accredited course of study in
engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
(e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work
experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and
experience (e.g. Master)
- In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not
required, accreditation standardRelocation: Relocation assistance

project planning meetings, technical discussions may be required,
