We are a leading provider of workforce solutions, specializing in placing top talent in a variety of industries. We are currently seeking a dynamic Help Desk Support Specialist and Trainer to join our team for a 1-2 year engagement. Must be available full-time Monday Friday 9 am to 5 pm position. This position offers the opportunity to work remotely with occasional in-person meetings in Bowie, MD 20715.Position Overview: As a Help Desk Support Specialist and Trainer, you will play a crucial role in providing technical support to users and conducting training sessions to ensure the effective use of systems. This position requires strong communication skills, technical proficiency, and the ability to develop comprehensive training materials.Key Responsibilities:Help Desk Support:* Receive and log new issues in the provided ticketing system.* Triage tickets, troubleshoot functional tickets, and assign technical tickets to the appropriate point of contact.* Ensure timely completion of technical and functional system tickets.* Communicate technical issues, maintenance work, new features, and upgrades to users and relevant stakeholders.Staff Training:* Develop training materials, including user guides, manuals, tutorials, and other instructional resources to support the functional use of systems.* Maintain and update the help site, ensuring it contains relevant and up-to-date information on system features and frequently asked questions.* Conduct introductory training sessions and work with technical specialists to coordinate and execute specialized training sessions.Minimum Qualifications:* At least 3 years of experience providing system support.* Experience using OpenText Media Management or similar DAMS software.* Experience using Libsafe or similar preservation software.* Proficiency with Google Suite.* Experience developing training materials, user guides, and related functional documentation.* Excellent written and verbal communication skills to relay technical issues, maintenance work, and upgrades to technical specialists, users, and stakeholders.* Ability to conduct introductory and organize specialized training sessions in a virtual environment.* Able to work well in a team and collaborate with museum staff, technical specialists, and stakeholders.* Adaptable to changing priorities and able to learn new technologies.How to Apply: If you meet the qualifications and are excited about the opportunity to join our team, please submit your resume and cover letter to [insert email address or application portal].
