Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: CT Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 9 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview - Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs - Hours: 36 hrs/wk - Start Date: Mar 16, 2026 - Length: 9 weeks - Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for night shifts, requiring at least 3 years of CT experience in a large level 1 trauma hospital and an active NJ license. Details - Position is for night shifts, Sunday through Tuesday, from 6:30 pm to 7:00 am - Work is performed in a diagnostic imaging setting focused on Computerized Tomography procedures - Role involves handling adult trauma cases in a large level 1 trauma hospital environment - GE CT scanner experience is preferred Requirements - Active NJ Radiologic Technologist license (pending licenses not accepted) - Minimum 3 years of experience in CT at a large level 1 trauma hospital - Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program - ARRT registry eligibility or certification by the NJ State Board of Examiners - COVID vaccination plus one booster required (religious exemptions accepted) - Must demonstrate competency in all CT procedures, including knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy - Must be able to lift or move up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks required for the role - License required if applicable Additional Information - Performs CT exams in accordance with hospital, state, and federal standards, ensuring timely completion and image accuracy - Assures proper documentation and verifies images in the Picture Archiving Communication System - Interacts with patients and families to gather clinical history, provide instructions, and ensure comfort during procedures - Participates in continuing education and staff meetings - Must effectively communicate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams - Exposure to varying lighting conditions, hazardous waste, and equipment is possible - COVID-19 vaccination with one booster is mandatory unless religious exemption is granted - Scrub color or dress code requirements are not specified - Must meet high standards of performance and demonstrate initiative and time management skills American Traveler Job ID P-674405.
