Job Description:
MedStar Health, a premier not-for-profit healthcare organization
in the D.C.-Maryland-Virginia region, is seeking a dedicated Speech
Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our multidisciplinary team. We
focus on providing patient-first health care services, extending
from primary care to technologically advanced surgeries. In this
role, the SLP will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis,
and treatment of speech, language, social communication,
cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in patients of
all ages. Our ideal candidate is passionate about advancing patient
health and well-being through tailored therapy plans and
compassionate interaction. Evaluate patient speech, language, and
swallowing abilities to accurately diagnose disorders. Design and
implement detailed treatment plans to address patient-specific
needs. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments accordingly.
Educate families and caregivers about patient conditions and ways
to support their communication needs. Maintain patient
documentation according to healthcare regulations and standards.
Strong understanding of speech-language pathology principles and
practices. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to handle sensitive patient information confidentially.
Proven ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.

Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology
(CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
(ASHA).
