Job Description Job Description We are hiring a LOCUM Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant in New Jersey We are looking for an experienced First Assist APP for Weekday, night call, and weekend call coverage! This role requires individuals who are adaptable, results-driven, and committed to delivering high-quality work. Located in a coastal New Jersey community, this opportunity offers access to beautiful beaches, vibrant culture, and convenient travel to major metropolitan areas. Start Date: ASAP Assignment Length: 3-6 months to start (with potential to extend) Responsibilities include but not limited to: Retrieval of Vascular Tissues for Use as a Bypass Conduit Endoscopic Retrieval Chest Tube Insertions First Assist in OR for Cardiac Surgery Operate on 2/day; round on 512 patients/day (ICU and floor); includes consults Schedule: Weekday is Monday - Friday - 8 to10 hr days in-house Night call would start 6 pm - 6 am. Weekend callFriday at 6pm thru Mon 6am - call and rounding from 7am-12pm Saturday and Sunday Requirements: NCCPA Certification REQUIRED New Jersey License REQUIRED BLS, ACLS REQUIRED Minimum of 23 years of experience, including proficiency in Endoscopic Vein Harvesting (EVH) and first assist REQUIRED Experience with Cerner EMR Preferred 1099 Compensation, travel covered and much more!
