Surgical First Assistant Location: Martinsburg, WV Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,218 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: OR Certified First Assistant Profession: Surgical First Assistant Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12-Hour Days Hours per Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM Experience: Minimum of 2 years in specialty required License: Current license required for submission Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) via NBSTSA - Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) via NBSTSA Must-Have: Experience and proficiency in assisting with orthopedic procedures Description: The ideal candidate will work in a fast-paced operating room setting. The position involves assisting surgeons during various surgical procedures. The role requires both technical skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a surgical team. Experience in orthopedic and neuro surgeries is preferred. The candidate should maintain a high standard of patient care throughout the surgical process. There are no call obligations, but holiday coverage may be needed. The operating room has multiple suites, averaging 28 cases per day. Surgeons are supported by a dedicated nursing and surgical tech team. The environment is dynamic, requiring adaptability to various surgical cases. Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certifications are necessary. Experience in a high-volume surgical setting is highly desirable. The candidate will be expected to respond quickly and effectively in a critical environment. Scrubs will be provided for all surgical staff.
