Job Description & Requirements - Specialty:Med Surg / Telemetry - Discipline:RN - Start Date:07/21/2025 - Duration:12 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift:12 hours - Employment Type:Travel RN Med Surge/ICU Salem, NJ 13 Weeks 36 Hours Nights 12 (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM) Unit Description:We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Med Surge/ICU Nurse to join our team. The unit primarily cares for Med Surge patients and ICU patients, with occasional ventilator management for ICU cases and titratable medications. Typical patient conditions include orthopedic, gastrointestinal, congestive heart failure (CHF), and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The nurse-to-patient ratio is 6:1 for Med Surge and 3:1 for ICU. The designated scrub color is navy blue. Our charting system is Med Host. Experience and Requirements: - Contract Length:Varies - Specialty:Minimum of 2 years of experience in Med Surge/Telemetry - Weekend/Schedule:Every other weekend - Holiday:Every other holiday - Request Time Off (RTO):No more than 3 days - License:Valid New Jersey license or compact license - Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) - Stroke Continuing Education Units (CEUs) - Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or Critical Care course Float Requirements: - Must be willing to float within specialty as needed.
