policy on its award-winning website, CFR.org.Position SummaryCFR's
David Rockefeller Studies Program is one of the country's largest
and most respected foreign policy think tanks. The Studies Program
aims to advance the discussion of American foreign policy and
international affairs through its writing, publications, public
outreach, and discussions.As part of the Studies Program, the
research associate will support the work of the Bloomberg Chair in
Global Health, the director of CFR's Global Health Program. Please
note that this position would begin in September 2025.The major
responsibilities of this position will include (but are not limited
to):
- Research emerging issues at the intersection of global health,
international economics, and law.
- Assist the director in preparing, drafting, and editing
research articles, op-eds, policy briefs, data interactives,
congressional testimony, magazine submissions, newsletters, and
other written material.
- Collaborate with a dynamic team of CFR colleagues on the
editing, writing, layout, and promotion of articles for Think
Global Health, CFR's online magazine devoted to examining how
changes in global health shape economies, societies, and everyday
lives.
- Coordinate events, including preparing invitations, making
travel arrangements, corresponding with speakers and presiders,
helping to prepare background materials for distribution, and
providing other logistical support.
- Assist in managing budgets, including tracking monthly
statements and grant information, drafting grant reports and
requests, and preparing vouchers for reimbursement.
- Provide administrative support, including handling
correspondence, scheduling media interviews, making travel
arrangements, and responding to requests for information.
- Assist fellow with social media outreach and promotion, as
needed.
- Support the program director in his management of the Global
Health program.
- Provide support across departmental lines and for other
fellows, upon request.QualificationsExperience
- BA or MA degree in international affairs, economics, public
health, or other relevant fields, with excellent academic
credentials.Related Skills & Other Requirements
- Excellent writing and editing skills and the ability to
summarize and communicate research results clearly.
- Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
- Demonstrated quantitative experience and skill with Stata, R,
or another comparable program is a plus.
- Good judgment, a can-do attitude, and the ability to complete
projects independently or with limited supervision.
- Excellent computer skills, including MS Word and Excel.Required

- The full-time annual compensation range for this position is
$55,000 - $58,000 depending on experience.
