Our practice is seeking an ambitious, organized, self-starter individual to help with the expansion of our private practice. This office administrator will be responsible for optimizing the day to day administrative and financial tasks to keep the medical practice running smoothly and efficiently.
DUTIES
Responsible for implementing the offices mission and strategic vision
Establishes and implements improvements for office operating policies and procedures
Participates in and coordinates physician recruitment
Ensures office compliance with all regulatory agencies governing health care delivery
Responsible for managing the overall marketing activities of the office
Maintains professional affiliations, keeps current in latest healthcare trends, and serves as a representative with other health organizations, government agencies, and third-party payers
Manages and keeps current practice insurance relationships, including monitoring of related reimbursement, negotiation with third-party payers, provider credentialing, and maintenance of contracts
Resolves any patient and medical-administrative problems and communicates effectively with staff to maintain a positive, professional, office atmosphere
Ensures that operating expenses are well within budget and fiscal year plans
Order supplies and collaborate with vendors regarding equipment and inventory
Manages collection efforts and ensures that outstanding patient accounts and accounts receivables are within budgeted limits and in-line with targets
Compiles and prepares various status reports for management in order to analyze trends and make recommendations
Maintains strictest confidentiality
Research and assisting in expansion of a surgery center
QUALIFICATIONS
extensive problem-solving skills
knowledge of healthcare medical issues, terminology, and coding
knowledge of applicable regulations and state and federal laws
proficient in relevant software (Athena Health preferred)
exceptional communication skills
strong attention to detail
managerial experience and marking a plus
EDUCATION
5+ years in medical office administration
Bachelor's degree or Associate degree in a related field strongly preferred
Certification in Medical Billing and Coding
Background in human resources preferred
Job Types: Full-time
Pay: $20-23per hour
