Job Family : Data Science Consulting
Travel Required : Up to 10%
Clearance Required : Active Secret
What You Will Do : Provide data science services with a focus on
Federal Financial Management clients and solutions.
Belong to a collaborative team dedicated to Advanced Analytics and
Intelligent Automation.
Support business development and internal team initiatives.
Continue career development in data science software, methods, and
consulting.
What You Will Need : Active Secret or Top Secret clearance.
B.S./B.A. in a relevant quantitative and computational field (e.g.,
Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research,
etc.).
10+ years of relevant experience OR 8+ years with a relevant
masters degree.
Ability to understand mission requirements and conduct analyses
accordingly to derive insights and improve operations.
Ability to analyze and mine large and complex data sets (structured
and unstructured), with strong aptitude for conducting quantitative
and qualitative analysis.
Significant experience leading data and analytics efforts
supporting federal financial management, financial operations,
internal controls, financial reporting, or finance
transformation.
Significant experience performing statistical analysis, predictive
modelling and machine learning (supervised and unsupervised), and
other artificial intelligence, with strong understanding of common
methods and techniques.
Proficiency querying data using SQL. Proficiency performing data
science / predictive modeling / machine learning using Python or
R.
Experience developing data visualizations and dashboards using
Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik. Understanding of database, data
warehouse, and data lake concepts.
Ability to uphold data management and governance.
Ability to juggle multiple ongoing workstreams/projects.
1+ year serving as a team lead or mentor.
Ability to evaluate team members analytic methods, models, and
products.
Strong communication/presentation skills and ability to explain
technical topics to non-technical audiences.
Strong consulting skills: identifying and addressing client needs,
building relationships, driving initiatives forward.
What Would Be Nice To Have : M.S./M.A. in a relevant quantitative
and computational field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics,
Mathematics, Operations Research, etc.).
Understanding of data architecture concepts.
Understanding of data engineering concepts.
Familiarity with Agile methodology.
Experience supporting business development including RFP/RFQ/RFI
responses and white papers.
Additional Requirements: The successful candidate must not be
subject to employment restrictions from a former employer (such as
a non-compete) that would prevent the candidate from performing the
job responsibilities as described.
Selected Candidate must be able to work Eastern Standard Hours.
This is an exempt level role that may require more than 40 hours of
work per week.
