Project Manager I Job Code: PMI Classification: Exempt Reports to: Account Lead Date: January 1, 2022 JOB DESCRIPTION Summary/Objective?The Project Manager I position is responsible for the overall project management of assigned projects. The Project Manager I will handle all facets of project coordination and management such as project planning, cost management, fair and competitive pricing, time management, vendor management, identifying upcoming opportunities and strategic needs, and overall quality and safety management. Essential Functions

  • Be a mentor & Trainer - Everyone at InstallNET is responsible, both formally and informally, for the mentorship, growth, development, and training of fellow team members across the company. Fully responsible for daily management of projects from assigned accounts from initial request to sharing final close-out information with customers.
    • Manages a monthly project volume that can range from $75K to $95K, and well beyond, focusing primarily on projects under $5,000 while beginning to work on more complex projects and those with larger $ volumes.
    • Reviews quote requests and develop clear, concise, and accurate scopes of work and ensure all updated documents are attached.
    • Understands customers needs and expectations and strives to provide customers with an outstanding experience.
    • Confirms Building Logistics, COI, Security Requirements, and Labor requirements are met.
    • Establish pricing for assigned projects featuring case goods and systems using component, contract pricing, and man-hour pricing.
    • Appropriately maximizes margins and ensures fair competitive pricing based on customers' goals.
    • Applies existing product knowledge and experience to all install requirements, and utilizes knowledge about requirements for specific government restrictions including (Davis Bacon, Jessica Lunsford Act, Certified payroll, Prevailing Wage)
    • Successfully deciphers BOMs and matches them to available blueprints/floorplans for all assigned quotes/projects.
    • Creates and qualifies storage quotes, as needed, based on vendor rates and space required.
    • Support the Account Lead to mentor, develop, and train fellow team members. Position Success Criteria

Travel: 15% - 25% Some projects may require out-of-the-area and overnight travel, varies depending on job. Required Education and Experience
        • Bachelor's degree in a related industry. Years of industry and professional experience may be substituted for education.
        • At least one (1) year of experience in project management or a related field; or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Preferred Education and Experience
          • Two years (2) of experience in project management or a related field or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

              • Develops clear, concise and accurate Scopes of Work for quotes for all assigned account and ensures all updated documents are attached.
              • Confirms Building Logistics, COI, Security Requirements, Labor Requirements.
              • Quoting and pre-pricing projects for assigned accounts utilizing various pricing methodology.
              • Appropriately maximizes margins and ensures fair competitive pricing based on customers' goals.
              • Applies existing product knowledge and experience to all install requirements, and utilizes knowledge regarding requirements for specific government restrictions including (Davis Bacon, Jessica Lunsford Act, Certified payroll, Prevailing Wage)
              • Successfully deciphers and creates surplus furniture inventory from available photos and blueprints/floorplans for quotes and take offs for assigned accounts
