patients and members they serve.Overview: The Senior Principal
Solution Engineer (Sr. Principal SE) is responsible for direction
and impact on pre-sales activities by providing executive level
business development support, industry expertise, product technical
support and technical solutioning relative to the applications of
Inovalon's real-world data products, technologies, and analytics
consulting services to drive healthcare quality, value, and
efficiency for healthcare customers. This position will serve as a
bridge between sales teams, engagement execution teams, and end
customers to envision and define value-added solutions for
customers.
The Senior Principal Solution Engineer will serve as a Principal
product expert and mentor with the Solution Engineer Team and
Business Development (BD) team, across all Regions with the focus
to assist in the evolution and deepening of all SE product
knowledge across all Inovalon solution offerings by the
introduction of product training for SE/BDs along with support and
mentoring on sales opportunities. The Sr. Principal SE will provide
general leadership and mentoring to SE team, BD, and others within
Inovalon.
This role will also assist with RFIs/RFPs technical responses in
partnership with RFP team, Product team and Sales teams.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Utilize deep knowledge of healthcare data, technology, and
analytic methods to lead expansion of offerings into existing and
new customers;
- Partner with Sales and Execution teams to evaluate client needs
and requirements and illustrate how Inovalon's products and
analytics and technology solutions provide value and support to the
client's organization;
- Advise clients pre-sale on the technical aspects of company
data and solutions including fit to client's needs;
- Based on client input and requirements, craft custom solutions
leveraging company data, technology, and capabilities in
partnership with company subject matter experts, sales teams,
and/or product and engineering leaders;
- Lead preparation of complex technical proposals and
presentations;
- Advise internal execution teams post-sale on technical and
methodological elements of solutions proposed;
- Mentors others while leading high impact sales campaigns. Sets
standards and best practices;
- Develop and maintain an expert level of knowledge regarding all
products, services, infrastructure, and operations of the Company
to achieve optimal insight into the Company's product development,
capabilities, support, and functionality requirements;
- Serve as one of Inovalon's primary ambassadors to the market as
a representative at industry conferences, a participant in business
development meetings with current accounts, a developer of
relationships with C-level personnel at potential clients, a
generator of direct marketing outreach and as a key team member for
on-site sales meetings with potential clients;
- Establish yourself as a market expert and business development
catalyst through developing deep knowledge of the healthcare market
and key developments through deep market research on current and
potential healthcare clients to identify needs, current solutions,
past history, key personnel and key decision-making
criteria;
- Lead the strategic development of initiatives with product and
business development leaders to identify product and system
enhancements which may improve client appeal, process flow, and
overall Company business function, industry reputation, and
financial performance;
- Support and mentor other Solution Engineers in their mastery of
key technical selling and solution development skills;
- Drive and inspect technical solution planning and strategy
across multiple territories as an advisory solution
expert;
- Develop repeatable methodologies for solution sales,
evaluations, demonstrations and enablement that are leveraged by
the entire field sales team;
- Serve as a voice of thought leadership and primary field voice
to sales, marketing and product teams relative to an assigned
portfolio segment;
- Maintain compliance with Inovalon's policies, procedures and
mission statement;
- Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as
outlined within Inovalon's Operating Policies and Procedures in all
ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data
handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position;
and
- Fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be
reasonably provided by Inovalon for the purpose of achieving
operational and financial success of the Employer.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum ten (10) years' relevant work experience within the
healthcare industry, specifically with an emphasis on life sciences
analytics, healthcare data, technology, and analytics methods,
required;
- Expertise in Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR),
Commercial Analytics, Clinical Trial Analytics, or Epidemiology,
preferred;
- Confidence and ability to influence cross functional team
members and/or business partners toward common goals;
- Superior oral and written communications skills in order to
clearly and effectively identify and describe issues and prepare
reports;
- Responsive, action-oriented demeanor;
- Credibility and capability to build trust and cultivate
relationships with diverse internal and external
stakeholders;
- Outstanding problem-solving and analytic skills with the
ability to apply knowledge outside of one's immediate functional
area;
- Mastery of Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel,
PowerPoint, and Outlook;
- Excellent attention to detail; and
- A positive, professional, patient, and solution-oriented
attitude.
Education:
- Degree in Healthcare and research analytics, pharmacoeconomics,
biostatistics, health policy, healthcare management, public health,
health economics, business administration, or relevant discipline
required; Master's or PhD preferred.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Sedentary work (i.e. sitting for long periods of
time);
- Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or
negligible amount of force;
- Frequently or constantly to lift, carry push, pull or otherwise
move objects and repetitive motions;
- Subject to inside environmental conditions; and
- Travel for this position will be approximately 25%.
